Se dedica a la interacción entre los fenómenos religiosos y sociales en el mundo antiguo.

Tiene una periodicidad anual y es plurilingüístico.

Cada volumen tiene una sección monográfica, con edición científica propia, una sección miscelánea y una de crítica de libros.
