Aims & Scope

The quarterly ANIMAL SCIENCE AND GENETICS is a scientific journal published by the Polish Society of Animal Production, dedicated to the publication of manuscripts in the fields of animal science and fisheries.

The journal was published under its previous name Roczniki Naukowe Polskiego Towarzystwa Zootechnicznego (Scientific Annals of the Polish Society of Animal Production) (e-ISSN 2719-3934) from 2005 to 2021 as a continuation of Zeszyty Naukowe PrzeglÄ…du Hodowlanego, established in 1990.

In 1954-1990, the Polish Society of Animal Production published PrzeglÄ…d Naukowej Literatury Zootechnicznej.

The journal published by the Polish Society of Animal Production is periodically evaluated by the Minister of Education and Science and currently has 70 points (according to the list published in 2023).

In the evaluation by Index Copernicus in 2021-23, we obtained the maximum number of points, ICV = 100.00.

Since 2023, we have been indexed by the SCOPUS database.

Only original scientific articles and review articles reviewed by two independent reviewers (double-blind peer review) are published in ANIMAL SCIENCE AND GENETICS.

The final decision to publish is made by the Editorial Committee.
