Aims & Scope

«Amoenitas» is an international journal devoted to the study of the ancient Roman villas, considered in all its distinctive features (topography, architecture, decoration, material culture).

It is characterized by an multidisciplinary approach and its main objective is the publication of scientific contributions written by scholars in the field of archaeological, historical, artistic, historical sciences or even by researchers and experts in the field of science and technology for the conservation and restoration of archaeological heritage.

The journal, which aims to be an instrument for knowledge and dissemination to the reference environment, is organized into two sections: the first ('Contributions'), reserved for articles of major importance and characterised by a comprehensive approach, and the second ('Sheets'), given to short communications and preliminary reports (especially about archaeological excavations).

The official languages of the journal are Italian, English, French, German and Spanish.
