Aims & Scope
The journal is devoted to an interdisciplinary concept of American Studies and covers all areas from literary and cultural criticism, history, political science, and linguistics to the teaching of American Studies in the classroom.
Thematic issues alternate with regular ones.
In addition to reviews of and review essays on major publications, the review section also features regular surveys of the contributions of German-language scholars to American Studies.
The second issue of each volume contains a yearly bibliography of publications in American Studies from German-speaking countries.
Universitätsverlag Winter also publishes the American Studies monograph series.
