Aims & Scope

Almanach Historyczny is a general history journal that has been published annually since 1999 by the Institute of History at Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce.

The journal addresses various areas of historical scholarship, covering chronological turning points from antiquity to modern times. It publishes original scholarly articles, source materials, book reviews, scholarly reviews, and reports in multiple languages, including Polish, English, German, French, Russian, and occasionally other languages.

The journal follows a double-blind peer review process and does not charge for processing or publication of manuscripts. It is an open-access journal, allowing users to freely access, read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full text versions of articles without prior permission from the publisher or author.
