Aims & Scope
Acta Musei Napocensis.
Historica is one of the two series of the scientific journal of the National Museum of Transylvanian History, published annually.
The journal encourages the publication of original work in the form of comprehensive studies, articles, notes, discussions, reports, and reviews without imposing a limited number of papers or a strict section format.
Acta Musei Napocensis.
Historica aims to bring together innovative, interdisciplinary, and high-quality studies that promote new research perspectives in the field of history and historical and archaeological heritage.
The periodical publishes studies with a chronological focus on the medieval, modern, and contemporary periods (10th to 21st centuries).
Through its broad thematic scope, the yearbook aims to publish cutting-edge research in the fields of archaeology, history, art history, museum studies, archaeometry, digital humanities, as well as the restoration and conservation of movable and immovable heritage.
Reflecting the geographical distribution of the movable heritage that constitutes the core collections of the museum and the objectives of the research projects carried out by the institution, the journal focuses on topics related to the territory of Transylvania and its neighboring regions, with a strong emphasis on the spatial and temporal interconnections within the respective area.
