Aims & Scope

The journal continuously focuses on the significant global issue of deteriorating aquatic ecosystems and the increasing severity of water quality shortages, both of which are major concerns in China and worldwide.

It primarily publishes research papers and reviews related to the assessment and management of aquatic ecosystems, as well as the biochemistry, genetics, pathology, toxicology, and classification of aquatic organisms.

It also covers breeding, cultivation, development, utilization, and disease prevention of aquatic organisms, as well as comprehensive investigations and studies in fisheries biology and limnology.

These contributions support the protection of China’s aquatic ecosystems and the sustainable development of fisheries.
