Acta Geographica Lodziensia has been published since 1948.

Its founder and first editor was Professor Jan Dylik.

The journal publishes original papers and monographs focusing on broad aspects of physical geography, particularly geomorphology and palaeogeography of Central Poland.

The range of interest often goes beyond the regional frames and brings a general contribution to the earth sciences.

The journal is intended to be a chronicle of regional scientific events.

Research problems presented in the journal refers directly to current global trends in earth sciences.
