Founded in 1959 at the Duke University Geology Department (now Earth & Ocean Sciences), SOUTHEASTERN GEOLOGY is a refereed journal that gives the reader the results of research in all aspects of the geology of the southeastern United States.

Over 700 articles have been published.

Duncan Heron has been Editor-in-Chief of SOUTHEASTERN GEOLOGY since its inception.

David Bush is the Editor.
