The Revista Médica de la Universidad de Costa Rica is a scientific-academic journal with a national and international scope, published by the School of Medicine of the University of Costa Rica.

The journal aims to publish scientific work in the field of health, promoting the exchange of knowledge and culture between countries in Central America and Latin America.

The journal is open access, free of charge, and published biannually in June and December. It is directed at professionals, teachers, and students in the health sciences, including medicine, nursing, pharmacy, microbiology, physiology, biochemistry, nutrition, dentistry, public health, and other related fields.
