eISSN : 2769-2094
Abbreviation : Ornam. Plant Res.
Aims & Scope
Ornamental Plant Research primarily publishes fundamental research that represents significant advances or new insights into our understanding of specialized areas of ornamental plants, review articles that provide a comprehensive and critical review of a current research area, editorial and perspectives articles focusing on current or emerging areas of research.
It also publishes methods of applied research that has significant implications for the development and sustainability of the ornamental plant industry.
The journal will consider articles in the following areas: ● Genetics, epigenetics, breeding, and germplasm characterization; ● Genome assembly and evolutionary genomics; ● Cytology and cytogenetic manipulation for crop improvement; ● All types of -omics and -omics data analysis; ● Trait-based studies via genetic mapping and application for breeding; ● Biotechnology and genome editing; ● Ecology, evolution, and domestication; ● Physiology and molecular aspects of plant growth and development; ● Genetic and molecular analyses or manipulation of flower or leaf colors, fragrance, growth forms, and overall plant architecture; ● New methods that can be employed to produce novel plants; ● Fundamental information on the interactions of plants with environmental factors or other organisms (beneficial microbes, pathogens or insects) useful for improving plant productivity; ● Physiological, biochemical, and molecular bases for the improvement of postharvest or postproduction performance; ● Biochemical and molecular bases for the use of ornamental plants for improving the environment and human well-being; ● Bioactive chemicals produced by specific ornamental plants and their potential applications.
