Aims & Scope
Obesity Pillars® is the official Gold Open Access online-only journal of the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) and is indexed in Scopus, PubMed and DOAJ.
Its aim is to help clinicians deliver evidence-based obesity treatments.
Its scope is based on the OMA's four pillars of clinical obesity treatment: Nutrition Therapy- Physical Activity- Behavioral Modification- Medical Interventions.
Obesity Pillars® publications are evidenced-based, clinically oriented, and supported by journalistic standards of excellence and expert peer review.
Articles published in Obesity Pillars® serve as practical guides for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health care clinicians.
The goal is to not only improve the weight of patients, but most importantly, improve the health of patients living with the disease of obesity.
As importantly, articles in Obesity Pillars® are published via gold open access, which means they are freely accessible to anyone and everyone.
