Aims & Scope

The Norwegian Journal of Geology (NJG) is a geoscience journal publishing research articles, thematic papers and monographs covering all aspects of geoscience in Scandinavia, and the North Atlantic, Arctic, and Antarctic regions.

NJG mainly publishes regular-length articles that present new knowledge or a review of a topic relevant to its readership.

Thematic papers are also accepted.

Monographs and collections of regular-length articles on a specific subject are published as special issues.

NJG aims to be the leading journal on Norwegian regional geoscience and an attractive journal for Scandinavian, Arctic, and Antarctic geoscientific research of relevance to its readership.

The journal serves the wide geoscientific community in Norway, including universities, industry, public institutions, and non-governmental organizations.
