The section "Experimental Nephrology and Genetics" includes Case Studies of Genetic Interest articles that provide clinically relevant examples of the genetic heterogeneity of renal diseases.
Finally, Special Articles cover a broad range of topics, offering a human-interest perspective on medical/scientific issues with a strong emotional and societal impact.
They are published on an ad-hoc basis upon invitation.
