Aims & Scope

Meta-Radiology is an interdisciplinary journal that provides a forum for the dissemination of new research results in the field of radiology.

The typical medical images of interest include those acquired from: magnetic resonance, ultrasound, computed tomography, nuclear medicine, and X-ray.

The types of papers of interest include those that use different modality medical images to perform the following types of clinical and basic science investigations: Clinical radiology : detection, diagnosis, efficacy prediction, prognosis prediction, etc.

Artificial intelligence in radiology : segmentation, visualization, feature extraction, image generation, computer-aided diagnosis, computer-aided detection, NLP in radiology, etc.

Molecular imaging : utilization of molecular imaging (i.e. nuclear imaging, autoradiography and pathology, MRI, ultrasound imaging, radiomics/genomics etc.) to investigate questions related to cell biology, molecular biology and diagnostic imaging.

New medical imaging technology : image acquisition, image postprocessing, fast imaging, automatic scanning, etc.

Interventional radiology : interventional biopsy, intervention therapy, interventional diagnosis, new interventional techniques, such as ultrasound guided interventional techniques, MR guided interventional techniques, etc.

Radiation : molecular and cellular radiation biology, radiation physics, radiation technology, and clinical oncology radiation treatment, etc.

Other interdisciplinary radiology : medical physics, neuroscience and neuroimaging, radiochemistry, radiobiology, radiogenetics, radiotoxicology, etc.
