Aims & Scope
Journal of Shanghai Ocean University (formerly Journal of Shanghai Fisheries University)，founded in 1992，is a comprehensive academic journal mainly focusing on ocean sciencesand fisheries, governed by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and sponsored by Shanghai Ocean University.
The aim of the journal is to report the latest research achievements of ocean sciences,fishery studies and related disciplines, and dedicated to promoting the exchange and progress of academic research.
The publishing scope includes ocean environment, ocean engineering, ocean information, marine fishery, aquatic biotechnology, aquaculture and multiplication, preservation and utilization of aquatic products, environmental protection of fishery waters, fishery economy and technology management, etc.
Besides research articles, the journal publishes reviews, comments and newsletters within the scope.
By 2022, Journal of Shanghai Ocean University has published 31 volumes.

Journal of Shanghai Ocean University has established cooperative relations with institutions and libraries in Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, Canada and other countries.
