Aims & Scope

Peer Review under the responsibility of The Egyptian Society of Radiation Sciences and Applications

Journal of Radiation Research and Applied Sciences (JRRAS) is a multidisciplinary, international, peer-reviewed open access journal that provides a high-quality medium for the publication of substantial, original, scientific and technological papers, as well as review articles on the development and applications of the peaceful uses of nuclear, radiation, radionuclides and isotopes.

The journal aims to publish novel articles of significance, excellence and high impact to the international audience to reach a global audience and to be widely read.

JRRAS covers all fields for peaceful utilization of nuclear energy and radiation applications in research areas that include but are not limited to:

Biological Sciences: Microbiology, cell & molecular biology, physiology, genetics, biochemistry, agriculture, food technology, botany, plant management & protection, entomology, pharmacology, veterinary science, biotechnology and nanotechnology.

Medical Sciences: Applications of ionising radiation & radioisotopes, radiotherapy, oncology, imaging, nuclear medicine, immunology, cancer growth & treatment, medical informatics, biomedical and forensic science.

Environmental and Applied Sciences: Control, radioactive waste, fuel management, measurement of radiation and radioactivity, nuclear and radiation regulation, radiation safety, nuclear and radiation protection.

Engineering: Power & nuclear power generation, nuclear engineering, electrical equipment engineering & technologies, dynamics operation & control including renewable energy system, distributed generations and smart grid.

Material Sciences: Nuclear physics, fusion, laser technology, nuclear safety & protection, nuclear fuel, reactors, x-rays, radionuclides, labelled compounds, cyclotrons, reactors, accelerators, thermal hydraulics, risk assessment, radiochemistry and dosimetry.

Computer Technology: Statistical modelling, bioinformatics.

In addition, the journal especially welcomes submissions from multidisciplinary studies on current advances of high- impact innovations in all life sciences contributing to understanding the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in all areas of Medical Sciences which bring novel insights to the readers.

The Editorial Board, consisting of Editors and the Advisory Board, is composed of prominent scientists from around the world and are representative of the disciplines covered by the journal.
