Aims & Scope

Aims and Scope

The Journal of Preventive Epidemiology is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that follows the guidelines of COPE and respects the ICMJE recommendations for Editing, Reporting, Conduct, and Publication of scientific papers in the health and therapeutic journals. Our journal aims to publish high-quality articles that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of preventive epidemiology.

We welcome various types of articles, including Research (Original) Articles, which describe noteworthy and original findings, and Review Articles, which provide a summary of several articles on a recent topic. We also publish Systematic Reviews, which are literature studies dedicated to a demand, verifying all high-quality published studies related to that demand. Additionally, we publish Case Reports, which present a patient's history, addressing a considerable new perception of a patient with an unusual and distinguished history, and Commentaries, which address the important points of an article and may expand them.

Our journal follows the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals from the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and requires authors to submit their papers directly via our online system. We also require authors to submit a cover letter, which should include a statement declaring that the study complies with current ethical considerations.
