Aims & Scope
The Journal of Ionic Liquids is a high-quality international journal that reports academic and industrial research in the field of ionic liquids with a focus on fundamental measurements, molecular simulations, processes, and products.
It is the only journal primarily dedicated to articles based on ionic liquids research.
Papers may be based on work that is experimental or theoretical, analytical or descriptive, chemical or physical.
In addition to fundamental research (e.g., areas such as thermophysical properties, catalysis and chemical reactions, separations, interfacial phenomena, materials, toxicity, etc.), papers that focus on process design and development (e.g., synthesis and design methods, systems analysis, modeling, and scale-up, etc.) and product research and development (e.g. catalysts, polymers, coatings, membranes, lubricants, etc.) will also be considered.
In addition, papers dealing with new and commercial applications that fit the broad scope and objectives of the journal are encouraged.
