Aims & Scope
The Journal of Gambling Issues (JGI) is the world's first and longest-running online, academic journal dedicated to understanding problem gambling.
Due to increasing convergence of gambling and gaming, the JGI expanded its scope in 2019 to include problem video gaming and technology use.
JGI is an open-access, indexed journal with a double blind peer review process that provides a scientific forum for developments in gambling-related research, policy issues, and treatments.
JGI is published by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health and funded by Ontario’s Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
The journal invites manuscripts submitted principly by researchers, as well as clinicians and people involved in gambling and gaming as players.
