Aims & Scope
Journal of Earth Science (formerly Journal of China University of Geosciences) is published since 1990 by China University of Geosciences.
The bimonthly English journal strives to cover all branches of geology and related technology in the exploration and utilization of earth resources, namely, geology, petrology, mineralogy, ore deposit geology, tectonics, paleontology, stratigraphy, sedimentology, geochemistry, geophysics, environmental sciences, etc.
Submissions of original articles in English from scientists both in China and around the World on relevant subjects are welcome.
All articles are reviewed by two or more referees for scholarly presentation, technical merit, quality of scientific content, and utility of the results for practicing geologists.
The Editorial Committee reserves the final decision concerning the acceptance of a paper.
Articles should discuss new theories, methods and discoveries, recent achievements in the geosciences, as well as timely reviews on selected subjects.
Articles should contain original data and facts which support the conclusions.
Manuscripts should conform to the guidelines in the instructions for authors.
The Editorial Committee of the journal has come to the decision that for the future development the journal should grow into an international scope to attract the best research papers, also internationally.
Therefore starting with the first issue of 2009, the journal will be named Journal of Earth Science.
We hope that this move will pay off very soon and that our authors and readers will help us to spread this good news to attract authors from all over the world.
