eISSN : 2813-2092
Abbreviation : J. Abdom. Wall Surg.
Aims & Scope
The Journal of Abdominal Wall Surgery (JAWS) is owned and was created by the European Hernia Society (EHS).
Since its founding, the EHS has been driven to improve the care and attention of patients with pathology of the abdominal wall from the best available evidence.
An example of this is the production of high-quality evidence-based guidelines.
The aim of JAWS is to continue to provide committed support for surgeons and patients and to facilitate scientific expression for all surgeons and researchers around the globe interested in abdominal wall surgery.
Abdominal wall surgery is one of the most common operations that a surgeon will perform throughout their professional life, ranging from the simplest to the most complex of cases.
The JAWS’ scope encompasses all clinical research in abdominal wall pathology, both simple or complex, benign or malignant.
The journal welcomes basic research that corresponds to the abdominal wall or its elements, as well as relevant research promoting the development, evaluation and implementation of therapies, technologies, and innovations that will enhance the patient experience.
JAWS is a peer-reviewed Open Access Journal that aims to promote the scientific research in this specific area of surgery.
JAWS aims to share ideas, exchange knowledge, and promote clinical and basic research within a context of equality, equity and diversity.
