Aims & Scope
The Brazilian Journal of Psychiatry endeavors to publish high quality studies aiming to advance the knowledge about mental disorders and to improve the care of patients suffering from such conditions.
The journal strives to educate and update clinicians, scholars, and researchers in psychiatry, psychology, sociology, and in others scientific fields related to mental health.
The Brazilian Journal of Psychiatry publishes original articles, brief reports, reviews, letters to the editor and editorials that serve the above mentioned goals, as well as those with heuristic features that could help researchers envisage new avenues of study and investigation.
All manuscripts are peer-reviewed by anonymous referees as fast as possible.
