Aims & Scope
The International Journal of Art Therapy: Inscape is a leading publication for the international body of art therapy professionals and is the official journal of the British Association of Art Therapists learned society.
The journal presents high quality systematic research by professional art therapists from around the world, on art therapy practice, theory and the development of the profession, from a variety of perspectives and approaches.
The aims of the journal are to: Advance the profession and practice of art therapy through publishing ethical, systematic, innovative, and original research papers and research-informed practice papers that advance the understanding of how art therapy contributes to effective treatments.
Advance the use and understanding of diverse ethical and innovative art therapy interventions, theories and practices, including qualitative and quantitative practice-based and arts-based research.
To further develop education and knowledge in the diverse field of art therapy in the global context, for art therapists, allied health professionals and mental health practitioners.
