Aims & Scope
IEEE Latin America Transactions is a peer-reviewed, refereed, monthly scientific Journal of IEEE focused on the dissemination of quality research papers and review articles (Reviews) written in English, Spanish or Portuguese in three main areas: Computing, (Electric) Energy, and Electronics, papers reporting emerging topics or solving problems of Latin America are preferred.
Some of the sub-areas of the journal are but not limited to: control of systems, communications, instrumentation, artificial intelligence, power and industrial electronics, diagnosis, and detection of faults, electrification of transportation, internet of things, electrical machines, microwaves, circuits and systems, biomedicine and biomedical/ haptic applications, secure communications, robotics, sensors and actuators, industrial systems, computer networks, smart grids, among others.
Papers focused on Education, or teaching/ learning technologies are referred to our brother Journal IEEE RITA Research articles must be original and have either theoretical or technical contributions, with a great preference for experimental evidence.
The paper's novelty must be explained in the letter to the editor and highlighted on the paper.
Good candidate papers to the journal satisfy at least 3 aspects: They have: 1) Original and clear contribution, 2) concise and clear writing, 3) Technical correctness, and high scientific/ technical value.
Papers not showing such requirements are declined.
These include improved conference papers or papers derived from previous work from the authors not properly referenced and discussed.
It is essential for the journal to have original works, so manuscripts with a Plagiarism Percent Match greater than or equal to 20% are not candidates to be published.
