Hygiena is a journal of public health protection and promotion that provides insights into important issues in this area.

The journal features articles presenting information on population health, analysing health determinants and trends, elucidating the substance and impacts of the relationships between environmental factors and human health, dealing with health risk assessment, or summarizing experience gained in the implementation of health protection measures.
