Aims & Scope

Human Pathology: Case Reports, a companion title to the respected Human Pathology, is an open access online journal devoted solely to the publication of quality case reports, which involve all aspects of pathology, regardless of the system affected.

The journal welcomes case reports and images in pathology submissions covering the spectrum of pathology including, but not limited to, neoplasms, inflammatory diseases, immune mediated diseases, iatrogenic diseases, and exceptional and unexpected changes related to prosthetic devices.

Submissions should report on: 1) An entity that is rare, the first of its kind, or a variant of a known entity; or 2) Present a classic example of a lesion which is not infrequently seen in clinical practice, but has not been published on in the recent literature; or 3) Present a case where new diagnostic modalities, such as immunohistochemistry, make a diagnosis more definitive or molecular studies give additional insights into the etiology or prognosis.

All cases published will be original, of high quality and will use accepted criteria for the diagnosis.
