Hospital Pediatrics is an official, peer-reviewed journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

It was established 2011 as the first journal for the field of pediatric hospital medicine.

Hospital Pediatrics publishes original research and other article types that educate and inform readers of quality, safety, research, and clinical practice advancements relevant to the field.

Hospital Pediatrics is indexed by Medline.

The editor of Hospital Pediatrics is Shawn Ralston, MD, MA, Associate Professor of Pediatrics, Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and Section Chief of Pediatric Hospital Medicine, Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
