Aims & Scope
Health, Risk & Society demonstrates how social processes influence the ways in which risks and uncertainties in healthcare are identified, communicated, assessed, and/or managed.
This international journal aims to stimulate debate around the role of risk and uncertainty in society through editorials, reviews, and original articles. Health, Risk & Society is an interdisciplinary, intersectoral journal encouraging submissions from researchers and practitioners within various social sciences fields.
Manuscripts must critically evaluate evidence, show awareness of contemporary risk theory, and contribute to further understanding of the relationship between health, risk, and society.
The journal also encourages articles exploring the ways in which risk and uncertainty are handled at a various levels of society, e.g. by individuals, through groups, within various organizations, and at national and supranational levels.
Where appropriate, authors should reflect on how the impact of their findings supports the development of healthcare policy and/or practice.
