自2015年起，《北京科技大学学报》更名为《工程科学学报》(Chinese Journal of Engineering)。《工程科学学报》是由教育部主管、北京科技大学主办的学术类科技期刊，ISSN 2095-9389, CN 10-1297/TF，月刊，国内外公开发行，主要刊载工学领域的具有创新意义或有较大应用价值的高水平研究论文和快报。主编为张欣欣教授。 《北京科技大学学报》是由教育部主管、北京科技大学主办的学术类科技期刊．该刊以金属矿业、金属冶炼、材料制备与加工为特色，涉及矿业、冶金、材料、设备、能源、控制和管理等相关领域，主要刊载与冶金工业及材料研究有关的具有创新意义或有较大应用价值的高水平研究论文及快报，栏目设有资源与开发、冶金与材料、设备与能源、控制与决策，为中文核心期刊（综合性科学技术类）、中国科技论文统计源期刊和中国科学引文数据库来源期刊，被美国《工程索引》(Ei)、美国《化学文摘》(CA)、美国《剑桥科学文摘社网站》、俄罗斯《文摘杂志》(AJ)和德国《数学文摘》等国外著名检索刊物或数据库收录，先后荣获首届国家期刊奖、中国期刊方阵“双高期刊”、第二届和第三届国家期刊奖百种重点期刊、中国高校精品科技期刊以及2012中国最具国际影响力学术期刊、2013和2014中国国际影响力优秀期刊等多项大奖。
