Aims & Scope
The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to, discussions of topical issues of geographical ecology and geosystem forecasting, spatial planning and ‘green’ development of territories, biological diversity and environmental indication, ‘green’ chemistry and environmental safety, and diagnosis of socially and environmentally conditioned diseases.
The journal aims to (i) consider theoretical and methodological developments in the field of studying the geographical environment and living systems; (ii) inform specialists and promote the development of fundamental and applied knowledge in the such areas as new methodological aspects of monitoring the natural environment and geosphere–biosphere processes, analysis of specific indicators of environmental (including medical and environmental) and environmental and economic problems, assessment of factors in the development of environmental diseases, and evaluation of trends in environmental and technological development of a variety of objects (from enterprises and industries to countries and large regions); (iii) assess current challenges for Russia and its regions from the standpoint of earth sciences and life sciences; (iv) acquaint the readers with successful experience in solving environmental problems in Russia and abroad; (v) promote the introduction of scientific achievements of the leading environmental sciences into production practice, management environment and educational process; and (vi) promote the integration of Russian scientists into the international scientific community.
