Aims & Scope
Foot and ankle surgery has developed into a highly sophisticated and differentiated specialist area.
With scientific original articles, reviews inside and outside of special topics, reports on modern surgical techniques, case reports, clinical tips and tricks as well as information on legal issues, the journal represents the current scientific status of foot and ankle surgery.
Besides covering all core aspects of foot & ankle surgery such as orthopaedics, trauma and reconstructive surgery including sports medicine, it also features related topics like diabetic foot care, rheumatology, orthotics and insoles, dermatology, plastic surgery, novel biomaterials, biomechanics, gait analysis, cartilage repair, and podiatric surgery and orthopaedics.
The International Editorial Board welcomes original research articles, reviews, and case reports from all countries in English or German.
As the official organ of the German Foot & Ankle Society (D.A.F.) the journal offers additional information for members and non-members on the following topics: Advice on career planning, The practitioners' forum, Journal Club with an overview of current international foot and ankle publications, Book reviews, Forthcoming specialty meetings and courses, Information for society members (D.A.F.-Intern) on current activities and developments.
