Frontiers in Network Physiology
Published by Frontiers Media S.A.
eISSN : 2674-0109
Abbreviation : Front. Netw. Physiol.
Aims & Scope
For a detailed description of the fundamental questions, aims, challenges, analytic and modeling approaches, impacts, current and future directions of research in Network Physiology see “The New Field of Network Physiology: Building the Human Physiolome†Frontiers in Network Physiology is a multidisciplinary journal that focuses on the emerging field of network physiology, aiming to understand the dynamic interactions and integration of diverse physiological systems and sub-systems in health and disease.
Led by Prof Plamen Ch.
Ivanov, (Boston University, USA) the journal welcomes research contributions from researchers with backgrounds in physics, applied mathematics, neuroscience, physiology, medicine, and biomedical engineering.
The journal aims to bridge the gap between basic physiology, clinical medicine, and other related disciplines by exploring the coordination and network interactions among organ systems and sub-systems as a hallmark of physiologic state and function.
Topics of interest include: • advanced methods from non-linear dynamics to synchronization phenomena • brain and neuronal dynamics • cardiac arrest • concussion • neonatal care • neurodegenerative disorders • pair-wise and network interactions of organ systems and sub-systems • physiological interactions in coma and traumatic brain injury • sleep disorders • tissues and cell assemblies • theory of networks of dynamical systems.
