Aims & Scope

ECOSISTEMAS publishes experimental, theoretical, and descriptive works on ecology and the environment in a broad sense.

Articles focused on different scales (e.g. organisms, populations, communities, or ecosystems), with different approaches (e.g. paleoecology, ecophysiology, functional ecology, conservation ecology, or eco-evolution), and in different environments are welcome (e.g.

Terrestrial, aquatic, etc.).

ECOSISTEMAS also covers meta-science (science about how we do science) on ecology.

Research articles, reviews, and data articles on ecological research, from organisms to ecosystems, as well as works that express emerging ideas and concepts with a solid scientific basis, which have passed the peer review process, are accepted.

Regular articles are accepted in both Spanish and English.

ECOSISTEMAS also publishes special issues or monographs and notes in Spanish on topics of interest in ecology.
