Aims & Scope

Diseases of the Colon & Rectum is the Journal of The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons.

The mission of the Journal is to advance knowledge of disorders of the small intestine, colon, rectum, and anus.

It publishes original articles, review papers, editorials, practice parameters, and letters to the editor.

Major areas of interest include colorectal and anal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, benign colonic conditions, anorectal disorders, and pelvic floor disorders.

The Journal's main focus is on surgical issues, though other material directly related to these topics is also published.

All submitted material is subject to a peer-review process.
