Aims & Scope
The Depositional Record (online ISSN: 2055-4877) is a fully open access journal publishing high quality articles from across the field of sedimentology.
The journal covers all timescales, from Ancient to Modern Earth and welcomes articles that emphasise the application of sedimentary processes to the study of paleoclimate, changes in the chemical environment, ocean acidification, extra-terrestrial sedimentology, and the application of genetic methods to understanding sedimentological processes.
Also welcome are applications of new techniques that further our understanding of environmental processes more widely.
Broadly-based sedimentological studies should emphasize the value of sedimentological techniques with respect to enhancing the value of data derived from cognate disciplines; such as palaeontology, archaeology and forensic sedimentology, amongst other.
