Aims & Scope

Current Research in Immunology (CRIMMU) is an international peer-reviewed open access journal publishing original papers, short communications, and reviews that cover all aspects of molecular and cellular immunology.

It is a companion to the highly regarded review journal Current Opinion in Immunology and is part of the Current Opinion and Research (CO+RE) suite of journals.

Current Research in Immunology topics covered include (but are not restricted to): • Infection, autoimmunity, transplantation, immunodeficiencies, inflammation and tumor immunology. • Mechanisms of induction, regulation and termination of innate and adaptive immunity. • Development of the immune system. • Intercellular communication, cooperation and regulation. • Cell trafficking and dynamics. • Intracellular mechanisms of immunity (endocytosis, protein trafficking, pathogen recognition, antigen presentation, inflammasome activation, etc). • Effector mechanisms of the cells and molecules of the immune system. • Structural analysis. • "Omics" studies and bioinformatics. • Vaccines, biotechnology and therapeutic manipulation of the immune system(therapeutic antibodies, cytokines, cellular therapies, etc). • Virology and viral immunology. • Studies on the human immune system as well as other model species (mice, rats, etc) are welcome.
