Aims & Scope
The predecessor of "Journal of Underground Space and Engineering" was "Underground Space" magazine, which was founded in 1981 when the former Chongqing Institute of Architecture and Engineering and the Underground Space Research Center of the University of Minnesota conducted international cooperation.
In 1986 , it was reported by the Ministry of Construction and approved by the State Science and Technology Commission for public release.
In July 2004 , according to the notice of the Ministry of Science and Technology (Guokecaihan [2004] No. 12), "Underground Space" magazine was approved to be renamed "Journal of Underground Space and Engineering".
In 2005 , it officially began to be published under the new name "Journal of Underground Space and Engineering", and the publication period was changed from quarterly to bimonthly.
The Chinese Journal of Underground Space and Engineering is jointly sponsored by the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering and Chongqing University, and hosted by the Chongqing Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering.
After years of hard work by the editorial staff, it has had a great impact among similar journals.
It has now joined the Chinese Academic Journals (CD-ROM Edition), Wanfang Data Journal Network, Weipu Data Journal Network, Xinhuanet Academic China-Intellectual Property Service Platform and Chinese Science and Technology Journal Database.
It has been successfully selected into the " Chinese Science Citation Database ( CSCD ) Core Journals ", "National Chinese Core Journals", "Chinese Science and Technology Paper Statistical Source Core Journals", " RCCSE Chinese Core Academic Journals", "Netherlands Scopus Database", etc.
