Aims & Scope
「地形」は1980年7 月に第1巻1号が刊行された．それ以降第3巻まではタイプ印刷で毎巻2号発行であったが，会員数が急増したので，第4巻以降は毎巻4号発行で活版印刷になった．一度も欠号や合併号がなく第5号や特別号の増刊号もあり各巻の総頁数も増加傾向にある．ほとんど毎号に英文論文が含まれほぼ各巻に海外会員からの投稿もあるから「地形」掲載論文の内外での引用も少なくない．そのため「地形」は国際地形学会の創立以来国際的な地形学の専門雑誌として，他誌とともに A journal recognized by the International Association of Geomorphologists と評価されている．第21巻（2000 年）からは電子印刷で，表紙も地形写真のカラー印刷となり，体裁は一段と美しくなった．このような「地形」の発展は会員各位の努力はもとより，編集主幹・幹事・査読者の尽力の賜物である．
