Aims & Scope
Autonomous Intelligent Systems (AIS) is a fully open access journal that publishes peer-reviewed original, invited survey and review papers that promote and disseminate scientific discovery, knowledge, and applications in the fields of autonomous intelligent systems, which lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, robotics, learning systems, systems and control, unmanned systems, multi-agents systems, networks, machine learning, cyber-physical systems, distributed systems, automation, human-robot interaction, artificial intelligence ethics, and laws, etc.
Autonomous intelligence systems are equipped with abilities such as sensing and perception, data processing and information fusion, intelligent decision making, cognition and mental development, learning and adaption, communications and computation, thus can achieve a high level of autonomy to perform missions without human intervention or can naturally interact and collaborate with humans.
The fundamental theory and methods in autonomous intelligent systems are the preliminary focus of the journal, and the “learning for autonomy†and “intelligence for autonomy†are particularly encouraged.
The journal will also publish papers that apply autonomous intelligence to various systems, including aerial vehicle, ground robots, space and deepwater exploration, underwater vehicles, software systems, automatic science discovery, energy and power systems, transportation and smart city, social systems and management, communications systems, computer vision systems, intelligent agriculture, smart architecture, smart manufacturing, medical and health care systems, Internet of Things, etc.
