Aims & Scope
he Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics was founded in 1870 as “Archiv für Gynaekologie†and has a long and outstanding tradition.
Since 1922 the journal has been the Organ of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Gynäkologie und Geburtshilfe.
The Archives of Gynecology and Obstetrics publishes - Editorials - News and Views - Reviews - Original articles about clinical topics and basic research in the categories: Maternal Fetal Medicine General Gyneocology Gynecologic Oncology Gynecologic Endocrinology and Reproductive Medicine Urogynecology - Position Statements and Guidelines - Correspondence (In this section correspondence on articles can be published.
These are letters to the editor that are usually followed by answers of the authors.) - Images in Obstetrics and Gynecology (Outstanding illustrative material will be published.
This should be followed by a short description without references.) - Abstracts from all subspecialties in Gynecology and Obstetrics.
All papers are peer-reviewed and published as quickly as possible.
Case reports can be submitted, but will only be accepted if they are of broad interest to the readership and include a systematic review of the literature.
Systematic reviews on rare diseases are welcome.
