Annales Fennici Mathematici was founded in 1941 by P.J.

Myrberg under the name Annales Academiæ Scientiarum Fennicæ Series A.

I.

Mathematica.

It was edited by P.J.

Myrberg until 1974, by Olli Lehto until 1998 and by Olli Martio until 2021.

The current Editor-in-Chief is Pekka Koskela.

The name of the journal was simplified to Annales Academiæ Scientiarum Fennicæ Mathematica in 1996.

Up to 1974 articles were numbered consecutively.

The first issue under the current numbering scheme was published in 1975.

The journal was owned and published by Academia Scientiarum Fennica until 2021 when the Finnish Mathematical Society took over as the owner.

During the transition process the name of the journal was further simplified to Annales Fennici Mathematici (abbreviated below to Ann.

Fenn.

Math.).
