Aims & Scope
The American Journal of Cardiovascular Drugs promotes rational therapy and effective patient management within the discipline of cardiology by providing a regular program of independent review articles covering all aspects of the management of cardiovascular disorders, particularly the place in therapy of newer and established agents and procedures.
The journal includes: Short overviews of contentious or emerging issues (Current Opinions and Leading Articles, respectively).
Comprehensive narrative reviews on therapeutic approaches to managing cardiovascular disease.
Systematic reviews that collate empirical evidence to answer a specific research question, using explicit, systematic methods as outlined by the PRISMA statement.
Therapy in practice reviews covering optimum management of specific conditions.
Adis Drug Reviews of the properties and place in therapy of both newer and established drugs in cardiovascular medicine.
Original research articles reporting the results of well-designed clinical studies, such as clinical pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic studies, clinical trials, meta-analyses, outcomes research, and pharmacoeconomic studies.
Additional digital features (including animated abstracts, video abstracts, slide decks, audio slides, instructional videos, infographics, podcasts and animations) can be published with articles; these are designed to increase the visibility, readership and educational value of the journal’s content.
