Acta Odontologica Scandinavica
Published by Medical Journals Sweden AB
ISSN : 0001-6357 eISSN : 1502-3850
Abbreviation : Acta Odontol. Scand.
Aims & Scope
Acta Odontologica Scandinavica publishes papers conveying new knowledge within all areas of oral health and disease sciences, except dental biomaterials, which will be referred to Acta Biomaterialia Odontologica Scandinavica.
Original research papers as well as critical state-of-the-art reviews relevant to the diagnosis, epidemiology, health service, prevention, etiology, pathogenesis and treatment of diseases affecting tissues of the oral cavity and associated structures will be considered for publication.
All manuscripts including scientific progress are reviewed by members of a panel of international referees, with preference given to analytical studies based on hypotheses.
Papers on cause and effect or explanatory/associative relationships for experimental or observational studies are also favored and simple descriptive studies have a low priority for publication.
Acta Odontologica Scandinavica has been published since 1939 and is sponsored by the Dental Associations and Dental Schools in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden with editorial responsibility alternating between these countries.
