Aims & Scope
The Ibero-American Association for Higher Distance Education (hereinafter AIESAD) is an entity created to promote Distance Education for the benefit of the peoples of Ibero-American (Latin America, Spain and Portugal).
Among its objectives are those of research, information, training and exchange of experiences.
The "RIED-Revista Iberoamericana de Educación a Distancia" (hereinafter RIED) is an instrument of AIESAD for the dissemination of scientific work within the field of open and distance education in different options and presentations.
RIED is a peer-reviewed scientific journal, bilingual (since Vol. 27-1), that uses internationally accepted quality standards of prestigious scientific publications, and its scope is international, especially Latin American (Latin America, Spain and Portugal).
The administrative management, the printed publication, the dissemination and distribution of this journal, is currently entrusted to the Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL) in Ecuador; and the management, global and technical management of RIED is carried out through the OJS system (Open Journal System) from the National University of Distance Education (UNED) in Spain..
